FULL PROPOSALS




The Full Proposals will be evaluated on the following criteria:

  • Centrality to mission and priorities of the university;
  • Quality of research, teaching, and outreach;
  • Productivity in educational offerings and research, scholarship, and creative activities;
  • Efficiency of unit's operations; and
  • Demand for the research, services, and graduates from the unit.

Final Full Proposal Instructions:

All of the following steps are required.

Step 1: Create your Full Proposal as a Word document. Detailed instructions and specifications are below.

Step 2: Fill out and submit this form, cutting and pasting the five (5) page Proposal and the one (1) page Budget document from your Word document into the text boxes below. Some formatting (e.g., tables) will not transfer into the text box. Sending the Word document or pdf as described in Step 3 will ensure that we have your document as you have created it.

Step 3: Email your entire seven (7) page document (Cover Page, five page Proposal, one page Budget), as a Word or pdf attachment and not embedded in the email message, to: wpprops@email.arizona.edu.

All Full Proposals, including contact information, will be posted on the Provost's website shortly after they are received.

List of the existing academic undergraduate, graduate, and professional programs, and if appropriate at this time, a list of the proposed reorganized, eliminated, or newly formed academic programs.

FIVE PAGE FULL PROPOSAL

This section of the Full Proposal should include:

  • Discussion of the advantages to students, employers, and The University of Arizona of the reorganization of the academic programs;
  • Discussion of any changes or eliminations of the existing undergraduate and graduate programs;
  • Clear explanation of how the consolidation will strengthen the unit's teaching, service, and research or creative activities;
  • Explanation of how the consolidation will raise the unit's and the university's ranking or reputation; and
  • Discussion of the meetings that your team held to vet this proposal with faculty, students, appointed personnel, staff, and relevant external constituents.
  • Summaries of comments from the groups impacted by the reorganization along with a tally of the faculty votes for, against, or abstaining on the proposed transformation plan.
  • Clear explanation of how the consolidation will strengthen the unit's teaching, service, and research or creative activities;

ONE PAGE BUDGET

This page should list the number of persons by category (staff members, appointed personnel, faculty, and administrators) in the existing units who will be impacted by the reorganization. Please indicate the positions that you expect will be eliminated or redefined during the reorganization. Information about the projected savings due to the reorganization should be provided.
